Three Tim Holtz Birthday Cards

Hi Friends,

Disclaimer!  I'll start off by saying this post has been sitting as a "Draft" in my "Publish" file for almost 2 years - and I don't know why!  So yah, they're older stamp sets and maybe not so inspiring any more since they are so "last year" lol!!  I truly have no idea why I didn't publish it -- but anyways, here goes...

Its birthday time around here and it's the time of year when it's "boy" birthdays for several weeks -- so I'm stressing about the masculine style birthday cards I have to make.  Tim Holtz to the rescue, no one else does it better!

The first card displayed uses the cupcake from Tim's "Birthday Blueprint" set.  I stamped the design onto a sheet from TH "Destinations" paper and then stamped the cupcake again onto some Basic Grey paper scraps. I cut away the cupcake and candle pieced it onto the background. Some strips of paper confetti and words from the stamp set were added to the layout with metal brackets and brads to complete the card.

Next, from the same TH stamp set, I followed the same technique using Authentique "Celebrate" 6x6 paper pad and layered it onto white, black, then Kraft cardstock.  The metal "wish" sentiment is by "Momenta".

Here you can see where I popped up some of the paper pieces to add dimension.  I also added Crystal Effects to the candle flame.

This last card is from the same Tim Holtz "Birthday Blueprint" set, using the same papers as the cupcake above, but I used the "Present" image and paper pieced the bow.  So easy to do, and hopefully not so frilly that I can give it to a "boy" and he won't cringe!  LOL!

TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!  Have a Blessed Week!!

Pampered Pooch Card

Hi Friends!

Today's release from Heartfelt Creations is so much fun!  All those pooches and pups are hard to resist!!

The card I made for today uses the silly, bad dog that is just so cute I wanted to name him and bring him home!!  LOL!!

The cute pup comes with a matching die, so you can either stamp him directly onto your card or die cut him out and pop it up like I did.  The "collar" around the card is also a stamp and die that's pretty versatile and fun, there's lots you can do with it -- not just for pet collars but a Father's day card would be fun or any masculine-themed card.

I also stamped some of the paw prints that come with the set randomly across the bottom half of the card with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it for a watermark look.

Lastly I added a charm from Tim Holtz Philosophy Tags as a dog-tag type embellishment.

Be sure to check out the HC Blog for lots of great cards and projects the DT made this week with this release!!  You'll love all the cute pups and papers!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a blessed week!

New Collection! Classic Rose

 Hi Friends!

A wonderful new collection has been released by Heartfelt Creations and it debuts today!  It's brimming with roses, rose buds, rose images, everything's coming up roses!! (Sorry, that was pretty bad LOL!).  And get ready - it's called "Classic Rose Collection!"  Ta Da!!  :)

The step by step instructions for the card I created are posted on the HC Blog this week!  I was going for the "rose gold" color with my roses using a pink-coral cardstock and gold embossing powder and Gold 3D stamp paint.  They came out a little more rosy than gold I think.

So, do pop on over to the HC Blog and you will be blown away by the amazing projects the Design Team has prepared with this beautiful collection!!  Those gals know their way around a rose!! Seriously!!  And, bonus, there's a "How To" video with Emma Lou to walk you through creating amazing 3-D roses!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a blessed week everyone!!

The card I made features the Spruce Trees die and some decorative, natural foliage to create a winter scene in a box! I stamped each of the trees twice onto dark green patterned paper from the Snow Kissed Paper Collection and die cut them with their coordinating dies.  I then covered them with a thin coat of Dries Clear Gue and crystal glitter.

After assembling all my pieces, I inserted the card into a clear Heartfelt Creations box and added more die cuts and embellishments to the outside.
All the step by step details for this gift box are on the Heartfelt Creations Blog today!  Head on over to check it out along with some fantastic cards and projects made by my incredibly talented Design Team Members!!

Christmas Card in a Box

 Hello Friends!

I made several of these "card in a box" cards with a couple different Heartfelt Creations collections -- the one I'm sharing today is with the Celebrate the Season collection.  Just a wonderful color palette and of course Poinsettias, so what's not to love??

Here's a closeups of what's inside:

The main thing to remember is to create the card first, then insert it into the clear box, and then add the frame or additional embellishments to the outside of the box so you can see how they align with your card.  Here's the card that is inside the box:
See what I mean, jelly bean?  :)

Step by step instructions are on the HC Blog today!  Check it out and you'll find lots more inspiring creations by the amazing Design Team!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a blessed week!!
